Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Template notice for the site owner: this policy is a plain-language template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed, fill in every item highlighted in yellow inside double square brackets, and keep it accurate. Delete this box before launch.

This policy explains what information Large Print Play (“we”, “us”) and our partners handle when you visit https://largeprintplay.com (the “site”). The site is operated by Large Print Play.

The short version

Information processed in your browser

The bingo cards, number caller, word searches and crosswords are created by JavaScript running on your own device. To save you time, the tools remember your last settings (for example the number of cards, the word list you typed, or the numbers called in a game in progress) using your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

The bingo caller can read numbers aloud using your browser’s built-in speech feature. Some browsers use an online voice service run by the browser maker, under that company’s own privacy policy. We do not receive any audio or text.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered by our web host / content delivery network, Cloudflare. Like nearly all web hosts, it automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not use this information to identify you.

Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show advertising, which keeps the site free. Ads are never printed with your games.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Advertising cookies may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser identifiers, and the pages you visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the games still work without them, but you may see less relevant ads.

Ads are not currently shown; this section describes how they will work once enabled.

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics tools.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we show a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform (Google AdSense “Privacy & messaging”) before personalized ads or ad cookies are used. You can accept, reject or customize your choices, and change them later using the privacy settings link shown by that message. Our legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent; for server security logs it is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running safely. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Your US state privacy rights (including California CCPA/CPRA)

Residents of California and other US states with consumer privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others) may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Ad cookies placed by Google and its partners may count as “sharing” under some state laws. To opt out, use Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info, block third-party cookies in your browser, or enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where required, a US state privacy message from Google’s consent tool will also be shown. To make a request, email us (below). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

This site is intended for adults, carers, activity coordinators and teachers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The tools themselves collect no data from anyone. Teachers who use the tools with students should print the games rather than have children browse the site. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us and we will help remove it.

Links to other sites

We link to other websites, including Google’s. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies.
